UPDATE Final Wiki Activity - (Due May 6) Please download and read the Educational Technology WebQuest. It explains the WebQuest activity. Your job is to evaluate the WebQuest activity and make suggestions for improvement on the collaborative page. I modified the assignment so you can spend additional time on your websites. I like how you started and hope you can give me suggestions for improvement.
Wiki Activity - (Due April 1) The goal of this assignment is to create a Wikipage with common activities for your target audiences. First go to ESLvideo.com and look around. The youngest person in the group will create a new page called "ESL Video." Each member will create an ESL video quiz or two. Feel free to explore. If you are not an ESL teacher consider this, you may be teaching students with limited English skills and you can use this tool to create comprehension activities for them. In addition you will discover other ways to use this resource as well. I trust your creativity. Embed your creations on the ESL Wiki Page.
Wiki Activity - (Due March 18) Each student will create a podcast of up to five minutes using Audacity or Pod-o-matic and embed that on their personal Wikipage. Subject? Focus on a topic that will interest your students' parents or your own colleagues in the case where you have no direct contact with parents. If you know how to use Garageband make an enhanced podcast and if not you can use Audacity to create different voices so you can ask and answer questions yourself. Then, respond to your each Wikimate's Podcast with feedback and questions on the Discussions section of their page.
Wiki Activity - (Due March 4) Create an FAQ as a separate page and develop a FAQ for using technology for your area. What do beginner’s ask? What should people know to use technology for instruction? Which technologies? You choose. Each member should be responsible for one technology but everyone can contribute to other Wiki Member’s FAQs. Use the Discussions section of the page to communicate questions, comments and suggestions. How many FAQs? I would expect a minimum of 20, but it can grow to fit the need.
